Preschool Graduation

Sydney graduated from preschool in May. And we registered her for kindergarten next year. The start of her schooling career will officially be started. No more freedom. Luckily kindergarten is only 2 1/2 hours. Once she starts 1st grade thats another story.
Miss Sheree was her awesome teacher. Love her.

Why is it the older we get the harder it is to lose the weight?

If it was only 3 years earlier and I had been working out and eating good like I am now the pounds would have been droping off. But now that I am older it seems like it is so much harder for the weight to want to come off, it just loves me and wants to stay. " A moment on the lips is a lifetime on the hips", has a new meaning for me.

Hiking at Red Rock

This is starting our hike.
and Blake ended up in the sling for the beginning part of out hike.

Once we got through the path we got to the red rocks and we relaxed a bit and then it was time for the climb.

Blake did great. He would just hold our hand and climb the rocks. Sydney was up ahead with the big kids climbing all the rocks.

There were lots of rock climbers around scaling the walls. The hike back the car was defiantly the hardest because by then the kids were beat and started crying and whined.

Feel good moment

So tonight as I was putting Sydney to sleep she asked me to scratch her back. So I did and she said, "now I'm going to scratch your back". And I said ,"no just go to sleep now". And in a serious tone she said, "just let me scratch your back..... because you clean my room and Blakes room and your room and the kitchen room and you deserve it".

Awhhhhh, what a sweet girl. I am just amazed to know that she is thinking about what I do and that she even notices! And then she says I deserve it. lol. It was such an unselfish moment for my 5 year diva who usually fights me when I ask her to help clean up.

Now if only I can get my husband to notice what I do around here!

Our Latest Projects

We finally got the house painted and I love love love it. As you can see we went with a dark color and cream trim. And I finally have my red door.
Our next project was grass in the backyard. Funny story, I wanted grass so bad we just put it in without a sprinkler system. Then Rami's friends said he had to do it the right way and came and took out the grass and put in a sprinkler system. And they were so right cause it wasnt working out with us watering it. So thanks to Rob, Rudy, and Richard we now have grass and a sprinkler system. We still need to do a few more things to the backyard and we are set.

Getting Creative

Syd and Blake had so much fun getting traced and then coloring it.
I helped Blake doddle on his. It felt very theraputic, now I remeber why coloring is so much fun.
