Christmas at the Fakhouri's

We stayed home this year. And it is a very cold and windy Christmas in Vegas. Rami made a huge breakfeast with all the fixings to keep us full all day. The kids had so much fun opening presents from Santa. Here are some of their favorites:

Blake loves cars and trucks so he loved everything. Even the practical present I threw in there... A diego spin toothbrush. To make brushing teeth a lil easier on me.

Sydney loves here lil petshop house. She was excited to see this present because this is something see had asked Santa for.
This year we had decided we weren't going to cook dinner. We were going to relax and be bums, then go out to a buffet to eat. We wanted to take full advantage of Vegas. BIG MISTAKE. The line was so long to get in that we didn't want to wait an hour with two small kids. We would never make it. So we went to find someplace else to eat. We ended up driving all over the place... nothing was open... duh, it's only Christmas Day. We finally found Sonic and had some Burgers... whoopie.... what a nice Christmas Dinner. We defiantly learned our lesson and will never be doing that again.

DA MAN

A few things you probably didnt know about Rami:
* DOES ALL THE GROCERY SHOPPING
(he doesnt trust me, says I spend to much money)
* FILLS THE GAS TANKS WHEN NEEDED
(I have done it a handful of times since being married)
*KEEPS TRACK OF OUR MONIES AND BILLS ALL IN HIS HEAD.
AND IS DAMN GOOD AT IT.
(He has never been late on a payment and never bounced anything, and as soon as I spend money my phone is ringing and he's asking me, "so what did you buy")
* LOVES TO FIND A GOOD DEAL
("This wasnt cheap, but I got it for", is something you'll hear from him)
*IS A SWEET TALKER
(He can get sales people to give him a lil something or discount)
*SYDNEY AND BLAKE ADORE HIM.
(mom is chopped liver. I only nursed them forever and he's the favorite)
*TAKES SYDNEY OUT ON DADDY DAUGHTER DATES,
AND BLAKE ON FATHER AND SON OUTINGS.
(they come home so happy after these times)

*LOVES MOVIES AND HIS CARTOONS FROM BACK IN THE DAY
*IS STILL FRIENDS WITH HIS HIGH SCHOOL BUDDIES AND TALKS
TO THEM ALMOST EVERYDAY.
(Richard and Robert, also known as the other woman)

Bad To The Bone

My lil Stinker. He used to be my sweet quiet boy. Now he is crazy and fun getting into lots of trouble. He loves going out back to ride around on his trike. But this morning I caught him in heels and pushing a shopping cart. Something Rami would die if he saw, cause it's not MANLY.

Thanks Fadi and Heather

Uncle Fadi and Aunt Heather always have a special halloween treat for the kids. This year they got a special box in the mail. And they were so excited to get more halloween novelties. Glow sticks(always a favorite), stickers, crazy candy of human parts, candy snakes and bugs. Can you believe that snake in blakes mouth is a big jelly candy. Thanks guys, we miss you.

Sydney The Lil Teacher

Here is Sydney working on new words with Blake.

Forts and a Messy House

Lately the kids have been making Forts, EVERYWHERE, EVERY ROOM! I havent been able to keep the house clean for one day with these two. But it's cool. They have been having fun, just don't be surprised if you come over and the casa is out of control!

Saying hi to mommy

A visitor from Indiana

Natalia's boys were in town to see there dad so we got to spend some time with Lucas. He is one of Sydney's best buddies from Indiana. It was like they just saw eachother. They started chatting and playing right away. It was so fun to have him over.

Happy Halloween

This year we went trunk or treating at church. The kids had so much fun and were exhausted by the end.

Blake was a pro this year at trick or treating. He held his own bag and walked to everyplace we went. As you can see Blake is an elephant and Sydney is a cheerleader.

Blake normally has a flat butty but today he has a honorary michaelis butty.

6 AM ENERGY AND INSPIRATIONS

Bright and Early Saturday Morning

The kids have been waking up early all week and saturday the kids and I were out of bed by 6 am. Can you believe all you can acomplish by 12 noon by getting up so early. For some reason I woke up with alot of energy. Usually I would just be a big grump all morning but that morning felt great. The kids had a bath and were dressed right away, then went out back to play while I made breakfeast. Sydney had fun creating her own exercise bike while Blake rode on his bike. I had a shower and then started cleaning the house. Even dusting and cleaning glass. We were out the door at 10:30 to go to Old Navy. They were having a special halloween deal with $1 t-shirts and prizes if you wore a costume. By 12 we were home and napping. And by 3 the house looked like it did before my big cleanup.

Ok Ok here are the pictures of the house

The Front Room
Before
After
One side of the Kitchen
Front door, we gotta tear out those funky bushes next and put in a tree.
Do you love the Desert Landscape or what? We wanna work on the back yard first then we will tackle this. hey it saves water!
Backyard. We have a cool patio and cover. It was overgrown back here and Rami has worked his butt off clearing it out. next is taking out rocks and putting in grass.
and dont forget the trampoline. Thats going up too.
Other side of front room. We want to paint but are to tired from doing everything else. Hopefully soon.

We have been working hard on the house. Putting up blinds, changing lights, pulling weeds and are still in the process. But we love it here. Sydney goes to preschool 5 minutes down the street, and already has tons of friends. We have 2 church niehbors that love to come play with Sydney and Blake. We go to a church playgroup on Tuesdays now that tire the kids out. We live right in between Ann and Craig which have everything on them, food, shopping, etc. So we love it, everything is so close. Melissa and Marlies are only 10 min away so we go back and forth to see eachother all the time. Sydney even had her first sleepover without mommy or daddy at Melissa's house. And now she wants to live with them!

Laura Clouse thanks for the package

Sydney and Blake loved there lil halloween bags.

And Blake was modeling my b&bw's selection. Love it.
Defiantly love my new soft throw. Awesome, thanks so much Laura for thinking of us.
