First Day of School 2009

We started out good. Had some outfit changing for Blake. He had to have his spiderman shirt. They are very excited.
Sydney is going to Kindergarten and will have Ms. Ventic as a teacher. We have heard nothing but good raves about her.

Blake just turned 3 two days before he started preschool! My baby.

Dont know why but Sydney had a hard with the first day. She didnt want me to leave and was crying. It was a bigger environment and lots more kids than usual. And being the first day kinda chaotic. So all that didnt help.

We look like everything is going well here. I finally got Syd in the classroom and with the help of Ms. Ventic she stayed in there. Next was taking Blake to class. He liked being there just didnt want me to leave. So as they walked to the classroom and into class I had to leave. He cried got over it and had a good day. Later that night Rami asked Blake how school was and he said... Mom leave me... I cry. That kid just broke my heart. And for the rest of the night he kept telling... Mom I cry, I cry. Sure just rub it in buddy. lol.

Embarrassing Moments

Sydney is only 5, yet I just recently found out that I've became the parent who embarrasses their child already.
This past Sunday we were at church and I was talking to someone and then trying to make my way out of the conversation by shuffling Sydney along to class and smacking her booty in the right direction. To which she said, "MOOOOOM", in her how could you do that in front of everyone tone! I heard a few chuckles behind me and said, "What?" to Sydney. I didn't know I had done anything. Then she told me... "stop embarrassing me". That really got the people walking behind us roaring.
And I thought... yea right! Of all the times you have embarrassed me with a tantrum or not listening and telling me NO defiantly. And I'm embarrasing you?
I wondered when and if this day would come. Didn't think it would come so soon. I thought I would be cool enough where I wouldn't be an embarrasement to my kids. But I guess I'm already there. Might as well roll with it.
And this is when the fun begins... Muaahhaaaha :)

Flowers and Presents

Sydney lately has been fascinated with cemeterys. She has asked my many times to take her to the cemetery whenever we pass one. And everytime I pass it off as kinda wierd. Even thinking that Sydney is gonna be a goth girl, because she also has a fascination fo halloween. Even though she gets scared she loves all things halloween.
But then we went to Bonnie Springs. A old western town and animal haven. Well the town had all the old town buildings and small cemetery with tombstones. Of course Sydney wants to go see them and check them out. This time I asked her why she liked them so much. To which she replied, " I like to see the words and presents". I asked her, " What presents?" and she told me the flowers and stuff that are on the gound by the big stones. LOL, oh I see I was going about this all the wrong way. I had to stop and look at this from a child like perspective. It wasn't actually morbid as I was thinking before. And it doesn't mean I'll have a teenager who will be all dressed in black and like all things black. It was quite sweet. Who wouldn't want to check out a cemetery when you think of it like Sydney does. Heck there's flowers and presents invovled, who doesnt love that. Whew, I just have to say thats a sigh of relief for me. So now when she wants to stop by the cemetery I think I will. We will walk around , read the stones and admire all the flowers and presents.

Summertime and Swimming

We love swimming. This is Blakes version of laying on his back and saying... ooosaaaaa.
Sydney is learning to swim.

And we even get daddy in the water every once in awhile.

Blake loves the water. He will go down and fall in and get scared but goes right back in the water. He was born in the water after all.

We love our grass

Our backyard resturant. We love hanging out on our lovely grass playing and laying around

Preschool Graduation

Sydney graduated from preschool in May. And we registered her for kindergarten next year. The start of her schooling career will officially be started. No more freedom. Luckily kindergarten is only 2 1/2 hours. Once she starts 1st grade thats another story.
Miss Sheree was her awesome teacher. Love her.
