I want to live in San Diego!

We love San Diego and I wished I lived there! We loved our hotel room when we stayed down there this last time. It was on the marina and we had a lil balcony outside our sliding glass doors.
Of course we spent some time at Sea World.
Blake loves checking out the sea stars.
This time we checked out all the navy boats and walked along the marina.
Blake found a walkie talkie and became Special Agent Terry the spy, for the rest of the trip.
Enjoying the climbing trees we found.

Ethel M Chocolate Factory

The In Laws are in town.
So we went to check out the chocolate factory. We watched them go into the molds and start going down the conveyer belt where they go thru refridgeration and come out.
Blake just heard we are getting some chocolate.
Getting our chocolate samples. MMM the pecan brittle was the best!
After the tour we checked out the cactus garden.

Kindergarten Graduation 2010

Sydney Graduated from Kindergarten. I cant believe next year she will be at school all day long.  In her last report card her teacher writes about her and how she did. For those that know Sydney know she is a mini Rami and has inherited his gift of gab and that she was always getting in trouble at school for talking and socializing. So I have to share a little of what Ms. Ventic wrote... "She is able to make friends quickly and easily and is often found in the center of most classroom discussions". That made me laugh because I know how talkative Syd was in Ms. Ventics class, she was being nice.

Cookin with Sydney Rose

I decided today that Sydney was going to help me make lunch. I am getting tired of making food for the kids and they dont eat it! Instead they would rather have cheez its and fishes. So maybe if Syd made the food with me she would be more excited to eat it. That was the plan at least.

So we cut up the chicken stuck in the oven, put water in the pot and boiled it, added pasta and while all that was cooking Syd got to work grating the cheese. And I didnt just have her watch me. All of that stuff I had her do. Well except cutting the chicken.
I showed her when the pasta was done and the size of the pasta changed.

And here is the final product. Chicken over bow tie pasta with tomato and basil sauce... green beans and the kids favorite... cheese. Now did it work? Did the kids eat the food? They didnt like the sauce so they wouldnt eat the chicken. They didnt eat the green beans but they loved the pasta with cheese. While it didnt work so much getting them to eat there food, it was still fun. Sydney like watching for the water to boil, and learning what straining the pasta means. So all in all it was a great learning experience for her.

Blake and Clothes

So Blake has been driving me crazy! Why wont either of my kids just let me dress them and not have an opinion on what they where? I would have thought Blake being a boy that he would care less and just let me put whatever clothes on him. NOOOOO. Not only will he not wear what I tell him to wear but once he finds something he likes he wants to where it everyday. Like that vest. I finally got it off of him and hid it. He also has these car socks that are different colors. He will wear different colors like one red and one blue. Also he layers his socks. He will wear 3 pairs at one time!  He's so crazy right now.

The Beach in San Diego - Spring Break 2010

Blake was so crazy at beach. He just kept running around like a manic.
We didnt have our swimsuits this time. I didnt think it would be warm enough to get in the water but of course kids dont care.
Blake is still running back and forth in the water and back up and the sand and of course it was going to happen eventually.. he fell down in the water and our day at the beach was over. Cause once Blake gets wet he is grumpy.

Our Adventures at Sea World Spring Break 2010

We love being at Sea World and in San Diego so once again we got are season pass so we can go as much as possible. Sea World is our getaway. We love checking out all the sea animals. Sydney even says when she goes to college we have to move to San Diego so she can go to school to be a Marine Biologist. Funny we all to move so she can go to college.

Did you know Star Fish are now call Sea Stars...
because they dont have gills and are not fish.
Funny story about the Sea Stars... the first time Sydney picked one up and was checking it out she put it in her mouth and bit it. Ha ha she was only about 20 months. Later when we went again and it was Blakes first time we went to check out the Sea Stars and he picked it up and took a bite on it too. Crazy that they would both do the same thing. I dont know why but they did.
Sydney and Rami love to go on this ride. Me and Blake hang back and laugh at them when they pass us and they get all wet by people shooting these big water cannons.
